Ambient Weather WeatherMount Station for Home Use

The Ambient Weather WeatherMount is a flexible mounting solution as an alternative to a mounting pole or tripod. Constructed from powder-coated steel and featuring a galvanized aluminum mast, the slender design is simple, unobtrusive, and aesthetically pleasing, making it compatible with most weather stations.

This mounting system is built to be strong, durable, and stable. Made of 18-gauge 1008-10 steel tubing, the WeatherMount undergoes the Flo-Coat (zinc-chromate-polymer) process for excellent corrosion protection, ensuring long-lasting performance.

The WeatherMount's base can be adjusted to mount on any pitched roof, with a small 4.75 x 7-inch footprint (mounting footprint of 3.75 x 6 inches) that allows for easy installation using the four 1.625-inch lag screws (included with Tar Pads) at the apex of the gable. The mount angles 12 inches in the horizontal direction to provide clearance for eave or roof overhangs.

When it comes to proper placement, the wind gauge should be mounted four times the distance of the differential height of the tallest obstruction, while the temperature sensor should be mounted at least 5 feet away from any radiation source, such as a building or the ground.

The WeatherMount comes fully assembled, standing at a height of approximately 50 inches. If additional height is required, extra masts can be added, extending the overall height by 31 inches per mast.
